The One: Selection Series Book 3 by Kiera Cass

I never thought that I would like this series, but instantly fell in love with it. And this book, when you think everything will wrap up and the unbelievable the world will be saved and changed so FAST that comes with most dystopian novels, you are proved wrong with a major twist of a Book 4 taking place 20 years later. Cress, Lunar Chronicles Book 3 by Marissa Meyer

I cannot wait for the next Lunar book. Just when you think you can’t possibly love a new character more than the ones who have been there from the beginning Marissa introduced Cress. Check out my review of the first book, Cinder.

Fan Girl by Rainbow Rowell

To be honest, I only read this because I needed break from my usual dystopian trilogies and was looking for a light read. I thought it would be an easy to read, enjoyable story, but I never thought I would completely go FULL BOOK GEEK all over it. This is truly an amazing story and I feel like I speak for all book nerds when I say, this book just gets me.

Young Elites by Marie Lu

It took me a while to get into this book, but looking back on it, I think its just because I was thinking about the other 50 books on my shelf that I wanted to read instead. I really enjoyed this book. Check out my review of The Young Elites.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I could gush over this book all day, every day. The writing, the characters, the story – all so beautiful. It’s a story that sticks with you. I still owe you all a full review of this book. I should get on that soon.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Ruthfuss

I think I read this fantasy book faster than any other fantasy book I’ve read. This is the first out of three books and a novella. I love the academic aspect of this book, along with the importance of music that the author gets across. With big books, pacing is always an issue, but I felt it moved pretty well for the most part, and it was easy to read which helps a lot.

One Last Thing Before I Go by Jonathan Tropper

I’m not a huge contemporary reader, but when I find an author that clicks with me, I’m all in. Jonathan Tropper is that. He is my favorite adult contemporary author. He also wrote This is Where I Leave You (it’s also a movie). Tropper writes all his characters flawed, but he does it in such a clever way, that it’s more suddenly hilarious than annoying. I plan on reading everything he writes.

To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee

I finished this book a few days ago. I have to say, it lives up to its hype. I loved how the characters questioned everything. It reminded me of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor in some ways with how the characters dealt with situations. I plan to write a more in depth review about this novel in the near future.
