Welcome back to another Top 5 Wednesday. The topic for this week is Books from Before You Joined The Online Book Community.

These are some of your favorite books from before you joined the online book community, whether that be booktube, goodreads, blogs, bookstagram, twitter, tumblr, etc.

1) Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix

This is literally one of the best series I have ever read as a child. I was really into the secret kid / kid power thing back then. If you haven’t read it, you must. Honestly, now I think I’m going to make this series by ‘series re-read’ for 2018.

2) Harry Potter – DUH!

When I was a kid, I think in the 6th grade, over summer vacation I read the entire third book in one day. I remember exactly where I was – laying backwards up my stairs – totally emerged in the story. Yes, I realize this should probably be #1… but I REALLY loved the Among the Hidden series back then as well.

3) The Phantom Tollbooth

I’m not really sure why I liked this, looking back, it was kind of weird – but then again, maybe that’s why I loved it.

4) Hunger Games

Because I don’t want this to all be about books from middle school / high school. This is actually the book that brought me back to reading after I graduated college and probably is the reason I am here now typing this. Big Thank You shout out to Suzanne Collins.

5) Holes by Louis Sachar

This was one of those extra books that you could read in 8th grade for a special field trip and I remember being super into this book. It was probably the fastest I read a book for school.

Bonus: Runaway Ralph

Bonus Bonus: Catcher in the Rye
